Last year, my youngest daughter lost her friend to leukaemia. She was a beautiful girl, and my daughter adored her. She had battled for 4 years, even though medics had told her parents that she only had 12 months. She had just celebrated her 8th birthday.
I was volunteering in my daughters school during this devastating time, and also attended her funeral, which I have to say was a really sad time.

This blog helps me to reflect on the diversity of family life that teachers have in their classrooms, and how family life will affect the way children learn. It also shows me how home education should teach us different ways that we can motivate and interest our pupils within a school environment.
Merry Raymond is a very brave mother. Coping with the loss of her baby son, she keeps her family together and home educates her 'Puddles', (Puddle ducks) while running a business selling her crafts.
The blog page is homely in feel and Merry blogs about her 5 children and what they have learnt and how they have learnt. You get a feel for Piaget on how she educates her children, but also can visibly see Vygotskys ZPD, and Bruners scaffolding being used.

Patch of Puddles is a lovely blog and I would recommend all to view it. It is heartfelt and true, and touched me very much.
